Member registration
Making the choice from CB to JS is best thing,but now i cant control membership registration anymore.I would like to see that JS will control registration.I know JS is a community thing,but even then i like to control who gets in or not.

Hey Guys, is it cool to block users who are browsing via web proxies? or allow browsing but not login? to prevent your site from anonymous users posting junk. Thoughts?

totally agree with this. i have bought jomsocial but am waiting for better user administration processes and registration options to be implemented before i switch my large CB site over.
I wish they focussed on improving the basics (like user management) instead of introducing gimmicky things like iphone and video features

I see there are two thread open here. One is this one Member Registration and other one Advanced Registration but basically both want same...
I hope JS team is working on this...I have already given my ideas under Advanced Registration.... -

This is essential. Our site is a 'locked' community site and we don't want any Tom, Dick & Harry registering.
This should be fairly easy to implement.
