Make profiles customizable!
If you need a social network to look at for an idea of how to do this well I would look at Virb! They have it so that it can be easy or advanced! I also love they way they have music integrated into their social network!

I am sorry, but after a giving this much thought, we feel that this feature is not feasable within joomla enviroment. There will be tons and tons of possible customization possibilities and the potential for design conflict is far too great for us to handle.
If you really need this, please contact one of our developer partner for customization.

Totally agree. People are creative by nature and going to a site where they cannot express their creativity will shy them away!
For example, facebook allow people to create simple pages, this should be incorporated into jomsocial as "my page"... -

letting people customize their "showroom"/ Profile will make them feel more connected to it and ill be more personel. Never underestimate affect when working with visuality.

I am using JS with MyBlog, I totally agree that "skins" or window dressing like that of myspace can easily be disastrous. What I would like is some type of style control for individual MyBlogs within JS, like a banner/header kinda thing. But nothing more than that. Agreed, this is a big contributor to facebooks usage, it's clean and easy. I gave up on myspace years ago.

I concur with an earlier point on this, I would like to see this, but would also like to be able to control the capability e.g. turn it on and off at the admin level for different member types.

And a music player. Like Myspace music, so artists can create an artists account. or maybe even make that customizable so there can be business accounts and user accounts. By business I mean, a music artist can create a music profile and be searched under artist profiles. A film direct can create a Directors Profile, he gets a special directors profile where users can see his Videos and comment on them.

Like Myspace, I want to customize my page and add videos to the page!!!!! But make it simple, a simple video interrogation. So people can see it as soon as they go to your page. Take an example from Myspace I say!

with auto group registration and reg flow with email, email check control, username, password, password control again.
And then when a user log in he need to fill in the necessary customized profile fields before he can get into the web site.
