  What I need is a way to have membership with expirationd date, giving only those that paid for mebership access to select functions (Groups or Pictures, profiles, events). Would be nice with a hook into Kunena so select forums are available to subscribers only.

  My site is small so I do not need automatic processing of Paypal or credit cards, just a way to manually update when payments are recieved.

  I'd like to have this as well. Atm I'm struggling to fine tune AEC + JSPT with JS. Every new release breaks something and struggling starts again. If would be PERFECT if fine tuning of user permission level according to payment type could be done via JomSocial alone, without other (bulky) add-ons

  Probably the most important feature that i wish jomsocial had, ACL/JSPT plugins are very bulky and override core features which can cause problems. I would pay for this feature.

  why not use joomla 1.6 acl and extension ace and have jomsocial prepared for this...extensions and features for payed membership

  well, this was also announced for the 2.0 release.
  I think we should move to the forum and tell the guys that this was officially announced!

  We have been asking azrul for this for a long time now. it was one of the most asked features on the old request forum.
