      I know probably the devs are already working on this, but a mobile theme as an add-on able to upload photos and videos from mobile devices would be great.

      A massive new “File sharing” features is a considerable project and is not part of 2011 roadmap. This is not a trivial request and does require a lot of resources, not to mention possible increase in support volume.

      We might add this feature as a separate, for-fee upgrade if people are interested.

      Mobile app perse is complicated. Good news is, we have a new developer who is dedicated for mobile development, html5 which will support cross-device mobile view.

    4. social bookmarking / content sharing into jomsocial

      It would be great if users could share links inside jomsocial, and others could like /unlike them, and comment on them. Just like digg but inside the jomsocial framework.
      It wpuld be integrated with post to activity box

    5. horizontal login module

      offer a horizontal login module with icons for forgot password, forgot user name, create account...hellome needs to much space. this way you can display language switch and login on top...after login it should display username, logout and notification icons

    6. Toolbar Buttons Module (Home, Notifications, Inbox, Friend Requests, Logout)

      It would be great if you could add a “Notifications” module that could placed anywhere on the site – a module that had the home, global notifications, friend requests, and messages buttons on it. I would prefer not to use the toolbar on my site.

      With 59 votes in the old feature request forum!!

      Communities with multi languages installed covering more parts of the globe and is offering more service to your foreign visitors.
      I am very suprised that none of the Azrul's components offering joomfish support. Let's Jomsocial be the first one to support multi languages.

    11. Auto-Friend Everyone Feature

      This was suggested in the old feature request forum (and it got 38 votes) but it then got archived, not sure what happened there. The concept is to allow the admin to automatically force all users to be friends with all other JomSocial users.

    12. CSS-Sprites

      Its nonsence that JomSocial dont use css-sprites more than it does now. There is a possibility to save over 30 http-requests! And speed is a feature especially now that Google takes this into account (SEO).

      Maybe this can be made for future versions?

      We are improving our CSS and template files in phases with the hope that in JomSocial 3.0, the size and structure of the files will be much lower and easier for users to manipulate.

    16. Activity Stream AUTO UPDATING like FACEBOOK

      Wouldn't be nice to have the activity stream automatically updated without that button "Update Activity Stream" ?
      Facebook decided to get this feature working because actually every time the user comes back on the browser-tab doesn't have to click anything to see new entries.

    17. Show child submissions in the parent category.

      I think the strict categorization of items (events, videos, groups, etc...) is generally unnecessary. I think an option in Global Configuration should be available to turn off strict categorization. With the option off, it would enable parent categories to show the items in each of it's children categories.

      For example, if you have an event category "Live Music" with a child category "Rock Music", Live Music will not display anything submitted to Rock Music.

      On my site www.thewedding.uk.com - I would like it when users sign in via facebook that if they then go to www.thewedding.uk.com/blog/ (blog part of the site then they can comment if they are logged in on jom social - not that they have to sign up again.
