Would be nice if jomsocial had real time notifications... currently on my 2.6 install, if I load a page I get the notification for a message or some other action, when I click on it to read it, then close the light box, the 'red' notification icon stays... A fully ajaxified notification system for live real time notifications would be awesome, it's a must really because that's what the 'Facebook' generation have become accustomed to - if someone is on a page and doesn't leave it for a long time because they#re playing games...?

I hear that Joomla 3 will be based on the Twitter Bootstrap...a responsive UI platform. If so, will JomSocial be released in a compatible version?

YouTube currently has an API that allows users to upload videos to youtube from external apps; Maybe including this in the options next to amazon S3 and zencoder would be a good idea. There is a plugin for elgg by webgalli that does exactly that - uploads to youtube, and then fetches the url and embeds it.

Instead of having an independent Jomsocial template, make our lives easier by inheriting EVERYTHING from the Joomla template. No more "jomsocial" templates breaking with updates!

CATAGORIES, and Master Gallery. Let Admin have his own Master Gallery, with its own settings and restrictions, so a site may have its own large gallery and can showcase and feature it, sorting options, arrange categories and albums, facebook likes...

Event owners should be able to see their expired events so they can (a) 'update' them with new future dates if it has been decided to run the event again... or (b) Delete them permanently to tidy up the DB.... Combined with this though (a) would need the ability for event owner to have a new admin option of 'Clear Attendees' so that people who had said they are attending can be removed....

You could post music from sound cloud just like a youtube link. This is link sound cloud links on Facebook

Enable admin to create joomla menu link to group id# or group category ID#. This would enable unique module and ad placement on groups possible. Some module content and ads may not be relevant or in good taste in one group but may be in another. Not having this limits my ability to build a community that can grow with my members.

Why don't you make share images in the activity stream larger? You can not see what the image is unless you click it.

Allow new users to be assigned a multi-profile by default, optionally removing the selection step from the registration process.

This would help trim and speed up registration.

Allow admins specify whether the avatar upload page should be included in registration process or not.

Salam, what do you think about one very usefull option ? I mean, when a user publish an event, the most important for this event it's to be seen by people wich can be interested by this event, and for this we should have the choice to invite users wich living next to this event instead/with of friends wich is not necessary in that case i thought

Currently JomSocial has numerous embedded elements within it's default template such as the Login/Register "module" embedded within frontpage.guests.php

To eliminate this you have to copy the default template and hack/remove that section of code if you don't want it displayed. Or you can css display none (not ideal).

There are numerous other examples throughout the product.

The point is Joomla has a beautiful mechanism for displaying modules and plugins, why is JomSocial embedding these elements instead of using the system.

Add Option to show discussion of a specific group by id

The photo's that are uploaded to Amazon S3 don't have an Expires Header. Without this header the browser cache doesn't cache the images.

To save bandwith and even better: improve pagespeed please add an expires header to the uploaded images. This shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Ability to set user titles (e.g., Position within an org)

There should be the option to allow viewing member of a group by anonymous visitors. For instance, I have an organization with constituents and it would be nice to use the group member list to show the public the list of members.
